What is Dimensional Weight?
Dimensional Weight* is the amount of space a package takes on an aircraft or truck. Throughout the transportation industry, companies use the Dimensional Weight formula in order to figure out the minimum weight to apply to any particular package. The Dimensional Weight of your package can vary depending on the method of transport. Simply fill in the blank areas below for the Dimensional Weight of your package(s).
- International Air: echo $int_air_calc_var; ?> lbs.
- Domestic Air: echo $dom_air_calc_var; ?> lbs.
- Domestic Trucking: echo $dom_truck_calc_var; ?> lbs.
- Oceanic Transport: echo $ocean_trans_calc_var; ?> cubic meters
*Please note: The dimensional weight is the minimum weight that can be applied to any given package. Worldwide Package Express follows industry standards and uses the greater of the two numbers (dimensional/actual) when calculating charges of your shipment.
